Science Fair

Date and Time

The fourth annual Science Fair by Eye of a Scientist Foundation will take place on Friday, April 10, 2026 from 1-4pm.

1pm: Introductions of partners, judging panels and welcome message.

1:15-3pm: Active judging.

3:30pm: Prize ceremony of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prize winners for each grade category.

Location

Dave & Busters, Hollywood, FL

Ages and Grade levels

All children in Kindergarten to 12th grade are encouraged to participate. These are ages 5-18 years old.

All students that are registered will be required to perform a science experiment using the scientific method and construct a science fair poster display. Parents and teachers are encouraged to be part of each registered student's science fair project. Parental assistance and guidance is a must!

Communities

All homeschool, micro-school, private, and public school students are encouraged to participate!

Registration Cost

This event will cost $40 for each science fair participating student and $25 for non-participating siblings. This event is partly covered by a generous donation made to Eye of a Scientist Foundation, a non-profit organization aimed at addressing the need for a better quality science education in South Florida. The entry fee will include: Event shirt, completion certificate, goodie bag, food, and a power play card for unlimited games.

On Event Day

Participants are expected to arrive between 12-12:45pm to set-up their boards. Registered students are required to stand next to their display posters during their age-group's scheduled judging process to answer questions. All 3 judges for each category will be together to ensure each student only has to present once. Once the student is judged, they may explore the Nature Center until the Prize ceremony begins at 3pm.

Science Fair Guide

All registered young scientists will be receiving a Science Fair Guide pamphlet to the registered email. Make sure to check your junk email folder in the provided email used to register each student.

Can a team or group submit a project?

Only single participants will be judged during the science fair event to receive a prize. Only one student per science fair project please. Families with multiple children may submit a request to Dr. Neymi at Neymi@eyeofascientist.com to determine eligibility to turn in a group project.

Have more questions?

Please submit any questions to Dr. Mignocchi at Neymi@eyeofascientist.com
